Scheduling Your Session
Newborn sessions are best if scheduled within the first 14 days of life. Within the first 6-12 days is ideal for a nice sleepy baby, so make sure to contact me as soon as you can after your little one is born!

I schedule these sessions strictly on Monday-Fridays at 10am. I’ve found this time works best for itty Bitties and lets me promise availability in my schedule whenever you deliver <3

Before I Arrive
Try to keep your baby awake for Two to three hours prior to our session. I know this is hard, but do your best - this will help ensure a very sleepy baby for our session. Play time, a walk outside or nice bath are great ways!
Dress your baby in loose fitting clothing that zips or buttons up the middle.
Avoid onesies or clothing that will have to go over baby’s head.
Feed your baby right before, or when I am scheduled to arrive. Even if it is not a regular feeding time, offer them a feeding. A full sleepy baby is always best.

What to Have ready!
If you are formula feeding or pumping make sure to have extra milk and a bottle ready. We feed more then normal during sessions.
A pacifier for soothing (if you use one)
Any special items you would like photographed with your baby( Please let me know ahead of time so I can prepare for them!)

PLEASE do not worry about cleaning your house or picking up. I’m a mom too, and have had a newborn! I promise no judgement here! I can make any corner with a window work, and we can move things around as we see fit!

Session Length & Details
For a Full Newborn Session plan on your session being around 2-3 hours. The younger the baby the less likely chance we will need all 3 hours, but we still recommend it to avoid any stress.

Props
Upon scheduling we will discuss colors, props and ideas you have. I have blankets, baskets, hats, headbands, wraps, and other props I can bring, don’t hesitate showing me photos from my website you love! Chances are I still have something like that! If you have specific items you would like photographed, you are welcome to add them to your session.

If you follow the above instructions on preparing your baby we will mostly likely have a successful shoot. But remember, we are at the mercy of your precious little one, so do not be overwhelmed if your baby is cranky or will not “cooperate.” We will still get many amazing photos that you will love!

YOU!

Your session includes family images and/or parent images, so I highly recommend a neutral shirt or blouse/dress for you. Tans, blacks, Browns and even beige are my favorites. No logos or sparkle/bling please!

You will have plenty of time to touch up your hair and makeup, as well as change once I get there! So NO stress!

NEVER hesitate texting me photos of outfits, nursery spaces, questions, comments, concerns, hopes dreams and wishes!! This is a once in a lifetime session for this little one, and I want to make it perfect for you!!

I Can't wait to meet your little one!! <3
